Founded in 1912, Lockhart Power Company has sustainably and reliably served its community for 100 years. Our goal is to provide reasonably priced, dependable power service to our customers and partners in Union, Cherokee, Chester, Spartanburg and York counties in South Carolina. We take pride in knowing our customers and giving each the personal attention they deserve, and we respond quickly to emergencies and power outages when they rarely occur. We further devote ourselves to providing dependable and cost-effective service to our industrial company customers.

 In 2012 Lockhart Power celebrated its 100th anniversary by giving back to its community. The company planted 100 trees throughout its service area to celebrate each of the company’s 100 years of service. In addition, Lockhart Power sponsored numerous community events throughout the year in order to honor the power company’s 100th anniversary while supporting the local people and economy. 

Lockhart Power Company strives to be a good corporate citizen by supporting our neighbors as well as by protecting the environment. Nearly 100% of our energy is produced by renewable resources, including hydroelectric power and landfill gas.
